Helping beginners learn tech
Why I do this
When I started my career in 2012, I spent a lot of time figuring out where to start and what actually mattered. Most resources were either too shallow or full of jargon that made things look harder than they are.
Over the years I’ve learned a lot, from building software to running infrastructure as a DevOps engineer to co-founding a data engineering company. I want to give some of that back, so that people starting out today have a smoother path than I did.
What I share
- Getting started in tech: where to begin, what to learn first, and how to avoid getting lost in tutorials.
- DevOps fundamentals: Linux, CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes, explained with practical use cases instead of jargon.
- Data engineering basics: how data is collected, cleaned and delivered, and the skills that matter in real projects.
- Career lessons: working with clients, growing as an engineer, and building something of your own.
I share these through talks at meetups and events, conversations at Developers Community Pokhara, and posts on my blog, like the DevOps roadmap for beginners.
Want me to talk or share my learnings?
If you’re organizing a meetup, college session or workshop, or you’re a beginner looking for guidance, I’d be happy to help. I enjoy speaking to students and early-career engineers about tech careers, DevOps and data engineering.
